A stainless steel automatic chronograph watch by Breitling. This is a limited edition watch of two hundred pieces that was made by the Swiss watch maker to celebrate the F.I.F.A Football World Cup, held in the United States of America in 1994. The screw back case is marked with the model number 'A30022' and above that is the unique limited edition number of '096/200'. The dial of the watch has the traditional appearance and design of the iconic 'Navitimer' or the 'Chronomat'; the three sub dials and rotating bezel. However, on this limited edition piece, the bezel, instead of timing speed and distance for pilots, it calculates the amount of time elapsed for the half of the football match, marked out from '0' to '55'. The 45 minute traditional half time is marked clearly in red to distinguish when the whistle should be blown.
On top of this, the sub dial on the left is also marked out for the half of football with a red 45 clearly picked out, along with a red sweep hand. The handsome navy dial with contrasting, now slightly tropical, cream sub dials give the watch a great overall appearance. The inclusion of the red highlights throughout the overall design add a great pop of colour.
The watch is powered by the automatic Breitling calibre .30 movement, which has been fully serviced and works perfectly. The case is unpolished and shows very light signs of wear. The watch also comes on the original, unworn, navy blue Breitling calf leather watch band with original Breitling signed buckle. The watch comes with a full year Foundwell mechanical warranty.
