Like today, during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. Although the maker's name were often hidden on Tiffany's watches, the retailer contracted with a number of the world's fine watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured pieces.
Today's offering showcases this stunning Tiffany made by the fine Swiss firm Hugenin whose offerings included chronometers and even tourbillons. A very exclusive watch at the time, the gorgeous case is 18K gold with black/dark blue and white enamel. The tone most often appears black but at times shifts to a very dark cobalt blue.
The high-grade handwound movement is adjusted for positions and temperatures.
It is fully original down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. We acquired the watch through an agent from the original owners family who still had its original box! It even still has its ornate original 18K clasp and is accompanied by its unattached original black grossgrain band.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
If you are looking for a treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Tiffany watches can't match the charm and romance of this vintage original.
